MATTHEW BAETZ

In only two years Matt Baetz went from cutting his teeth in front of open mic audiences to making his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. On Sept. 12th, 2007 Matt made his second appearance on the show. Growing up in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area, Matt spent most of his childhood dreaming of a career in broadcasting. After anchoring his high school morning news program, Matt decided to leave the journalism hotbed of Maryland and D.C. for a college career in the rolling hills of Tallahassee, FL. the first in a long line of poor decisions that would force Matt into stand-up comedy. After college Matt worked for nearly every network in the country: NBC, ABC, ESPN & The Golf Channel before deciding to check out an open mic in Altamonte Springs, FL. The semi-famous, although quite possibly, closed down, Why Not Lounge?, was the site of Matt's first show and the end of his dreams of being the next Marv Albert. Like many comedians, Matt's love of attention and cheap laughs outweighed the support and love he was getting from his girlfriend of three years and so he packed his bags, kissed her goodbye, gassed up his Ford Focus and headed for the Hills. Matt has spent the last year working with Green Mountain West on a television pilot entitled, "Matt Baetz P.A." centering on his life as an aspiring stand-up comedian struggling to survive in L.A. In 2006 Matt traveled to the Kingdom of Bahrain as part of a USO Tour to the Middle East. Matt joined Craig Ferguson and Kathy Kinney in celebrating Thanksgiving with the men and women of the Australian armed forces. Matt has also appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson as a featured performer in the cross promotional campaign with the Ford Motor Company, ESCAPE FROM BOREDOM. Now you can catch Matt in comedy clubs nationwide. Matt's blend of observational humor combined with angry rants and emotional guitar tunes provides a little something for everybody.
